Tutoring at the Faculty

Students of the Faculty can receive support from their peers throughout the academic year thanks to our tutoring service. There are 4 types of tutoring at the Faculty, namely orientation tutoring at the beginning of the academic year, academic tutoring, career tutoring and social tutoring.

Orientation Tutoring

Period : September, the start of the academic year

Target Audience : 1st year students in law, economics and management, students of dual degree programs and students on the healthcare track (LAS)

Student tutors guide and advise new students on their new academic environment (the Faculty’s website, the Université Paris Cité account, Moodle, Zoom, university calendars, etc.) and campus life (tours of the campus, student associations and representatives, etc.).

Academic Tutoring

Period : starting in September for the 1st semester and January for the 2nd semester

Target Audience : 1st and 2nd year students in law, economics and management, students of dual degree programs and students on the healthcare track (LAS)

Academic tutors from M1 and M2 help 1st and 2nd year students to develop their work ethic, particularly during the exam season.

How does it work ?

  • There is no work given to students
  • Registration is not necessary
  • Students can stay for the first hour only if they choose
  • Tutoring sessions are displayed on the timetables. Students must check the timetable each week to find out when the tutoring sessions will take place.

Career Tutoring

Period : February to March

Target Audience : future students who wish to study at the Faculty

Student tutors host Open Days (February) and a Day of Discovery on Law, Economics and Management (March) where they give information about student and campus life.

Social Tutoring

Period : throughout the academic year

Target Audience : all students

Student tutors provide information on the various means of aid and assistance available at the Faculty and the University, and assist students with certain administrative processes.
